Enola is served by the East Pennsboro Area School District and is located within fifteen miles of a number of colleges and universities that include Central Penn College, Harrisburg Area Community College, and the Harrisburg University of Science & Technology. The city’s growing economy is supported by a solid core of businesses based largely in construction, retail trade, and public administration and boosted by economic amenities that include low unemployment, affordable housing, and median household incomes in the 50s.

Enola’s humid continental climate produces excellent weather for enjoying the fabulous south-central Pennsylvania outdoors. The city is located along the western banks of the Susquehanna River, a scenic, fast-flowing river that offers excellent kayaking and canoeing. The river is a popular destination for anglers, as well, who come from miles around to fish for smallmouth bass, walleye, catfish, and panfish such as crappie, perch, and bluegill.

Enola is home to Adams-Ricci Community Park, an 82-acre expanse of natural parkland that features fishing, boating, hiking, biking, and more. The park is home to the Pennsboro Pumpkin Fest, a two-day event held each October that features live entertainment, arts and crafts, food, games, and pumpkin pie contests.

Enola is located just across the river from the capital city of Harrisburg, a thriving metropolitan center known for its outstanding restaurants, world-class cultural arts, and burgeoning live entertainment scene. Visitors to the city will find a wealth of shopping, dining, and entertainment options at their disposal.

Situated along U.S. Highway 15, midway between Interstates 81 and 83, Enola is a great place to experience the pleasures and delights of living in the historic Cumberland Valley!
